Our Mission

We promote and improve the livelihoods of children, women and disadvantaged groups in underserved communities through equal education, capacity building and life-skills training programs.

Our Interventions and Commitments

Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Education

We facilitate social change by strengthening vulnerable community members' access to life-sustaining opportunities, such as entrepreneurship, financial education, and other business development programs. We have trained over 55 women's groups, which include widows, survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), and forced marriage in Dar es salaam region.

Teach Them Young Campaign

We combine education and artistic (fine-art) expression to educate students about women's and children's rights and the adverse effects of domestic violence. Approximately 2,352 students from both primary and secondary schools, along with 47 teachers, participated in the in-school workshops and dialogues in Pwani region.

After-school Project

We provide advocacy platforms to amplify the voices of children and teenagers, teaching them life skills and encouraging communities to be more accountable to their needs and interests. The program has successfully built the capacities of more than 387 teenagers in the community in Dar es salaam region.

Eradicate FGM Project

We conduct capacity building programs for youth men, girls, and women in society, resulting in the enhancement of human rights and the amplification of their voices on matters affecting them. This project includes public educational activities and campaigns to eliminate the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in their community. Through workshops, community dialogues, and training sessions about 4,285 beneficiaries were empowered.

“Piga Shuti Usipige Mke” (Kick the Ball not your Wife) Campaign

The program consists of a series of football tournaments for youth within the community. These tournaments aim to educate young people about the negative impacts of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and domestic violence in their society. The project has been well received by its beneficiaries, with approximately 100 football players being reached directly, and a total of approximately 8,937 community members and local leaders being reached overall in Pwani region.

Invest In One Child Project

The focus of the project is to improve the situation of homeless children in urban areas of Tanzania. Its aim is to assist homeless children who wish to return home and to connect those without families to child-care centers. We have provided food, clothes, educational materials, and other forms of support to over 250 orphans and underprivileged children. Additionally, we have successfully reunited over 30 children with their families in Dar es salaam region.

Everyone is very genuine and helpful to the volunteers. I could not have asked for better team leaders and colleagues. They accommodated all my needs and provided me with exactly the type of volunteer experience I wanted. They were willing to customize my interests to what I wanted to do and had the local links to the community. Hatibu really believes in the organization and its causes and he is very organized

Our Issues

Domestic Violence and Child Marriage

We strive to protect women from violence and eliminate other forms of GBV, such as early, forced, and child marriage, in the community.

Female Genital mutilation

Female genital mutilation is a violation of girls' and women's human rights. We must work together to end FGM by transforming social norms.

Menstrual Health and Hygiene

Tackling the stigmas around menstruation and supporting girls in managing their periods so they can feel confident and focus on their education.
