01: Eradicate FGM Out of Singida

2

This project has been active in rural and urban parts of the Singida District. The project runs public educational activities and campaigns to mobilize different groups of people such as local leaders, professionals, law enforcers, activists, youth, students, and decision- makers to eliminate the practice of Female Genital Mutilation “FGM” in the region. Through a series of workshops, radio programs, community dialogue, training and cinemas, the beneficiaries were highly reached.

We continue to impact the community of Singida and enhance educational contents as we learn from the users themselves since “FGM” is still practiced and slightly taking a new transformation. We believe that our strategy improves the condition of girls and women in Singida region through creating a safe environment that protects women and girls from violence.

02: “Mawazo Mgando Huchochea Ukatili wa Kijinsia” Project.

“Teach Them Young” and “Piga Shuti Sio Mke” Campaigns

Advocating women an girls rights

It is a series of football tournaments and Art programs for youth and children in schools and within the community. Through football tournaments youth are educated on the negative impacts of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in their society. Our motto is “Piga Shuti Sio Mke” means “Kick the Ball Not Your Wife”.

In this project we are providing GBV education for children and youth in underserved communities in Dar-coast regions through sports and series of workshops in schools. This project aims at promoting children and youth talents while building their capacities in GBV education. While in school, students learn through fine Art “Drawing” to get the messages that aim at educating them about women rights and negative impacts of end domestic violence.
